Dear Parents,
We are learning how to perform partial sums addition this week. It may seem foreign to many of you as WE did not learn how to add multi-digit numbers this way. Please watch these videos. In the first one, the teacher does a great job explaining how to do partial sums addition as well as the reasoning behind why we teach addition this way in the beginning (psst....they'll learn the traditional way too, but not at first :) ).
